Chuiyou Dance of Yao Nationality

Chiyou dance of Yao nationality has a history of more than 700 years. In ancient times, Yao people make a living by hunting birds and animals, opening up wasteland, and building houses. Life is hard, but it’s safe. To eulogize and commemorate the great achievements of their ancestor Chiyou, local people choreograph a form of sacrifice to honor him, which is called “Chiyou dance”.
